Get to know the liveliest and busiest neighborhoods of Thessaloniki City. Visit its historic markets, temples and World Heritage Sites with its lively sidewalks and squares. Let its bustling markets captivate you and take you back in time through its monuments and ottoman traces. You can also discover the museums located at the pier and of course the White Tower landmark. Walk to Niki’s Avenue, also known as the Old Beach, where you can enjoy your coffee in one of the many – and some of these historic – cafes and patisseries or take a quick look at the local shops around.

And don’t forget, this is not just an ordinary self-guided tour. This is a gamified exploration experience, where riddles and quizzes for each new place you visit, engage you more with your surroundings and make you discover even more exciting new things in each stop. The best explorer gets the biggest collection of gems and wins special rewards in our network of local souvenir shops and museums.  Check out our handpicked collection of shops, they are really something!

I was on a Balkan trip and one of the stops was Thessaloniki. I never knew that Thessaloniki had such an exciting history and this tour was a perfect way to discover it. I particularly liked this tour’s avatar. It was a playful reinterpretation of the friendly stray dogs that one can sometimes see in the streets of the city.
